This Privacy Policy explains what Red Wing Planner ("the App," "we," "us") collects, why, and your choices. It works together with our Terms of Use. The App is operated by Mattias Clymer and intended for users in the United States.
- We collect only what we need to run a friend-coordination app: your email, your name, an optional photo, your friends and posts, and — only if you choose to share it — your location.
- Location sharing is opt-in and off by default, and is visible only to friends you've accepted.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- You can delete your content or your whole account at any time.
1. What we collect
| Data | When | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | At sign-up | Used to sign you in (one-time code) and for essential notices. |
| Name (first/last) | At sign-up | So friends can find and recognize you. |
| Profile photo / avatar | Optional | If you add one. |
| Friends, plans, hangouts, posts | As you use the App | The content you create. |
| Precise location | Only if you opt in | Pins, camp locations, and live location you choose to share. Treated as sensitive data. Visible only to accepted friends. |
| Photos you upload to galleries | Optional | Stored in group-private albums. |
| Basic device/log data | Automatically | Standard technical data (e.g., app errors, session) to keep the App working and secure. |
2. How we use it
We use your information only to: provide and operate the App; let friends find, connect with, and coordinate with you; show your shared location and photos to the friends you've chosen; keep the App secure and fix problems; and send you essential service messages (like your sign-in code).
We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell it.
3. Location data (sensitive)
Precise location is sensitive information, so we treat it carefully:
- It is opt-in — off until you choose to share, and you can turn it off anytime.
- It is shown only to friends whose requests you've accepted — never publicly, never to advertisers.
- It can be inaccurate or delayed; please read the safety note in our Terms (the App is not a safety or emergency service).
- Retention: live location is transient and is not retained as a permanent history; pins and camp locations stay until you remove them or delete your account.
- You can remove a pin, stop sharing, or remove a friend at any time.
4. Who we share it with (service providers)
We don't sell your data. We use trusted providers ("processors") that handle data on our behalf, only to run the App:
- Supabase — database, accounts, and sign-in.
- Cloudflare (incl. R2) — hosting and photo storage.
- Our email provider — to send your one-time sign-in codes and essential notices.
- GoHighLevel (Valley Homes Team CRM) — when you sign up, your email is added to our contact system with festival tags so we can operate and support the App. We do not sell this data.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer.
5. Your choices and rights
You can: access and update your profile; remove pins, photos, posts, and friends; turn location sharing off; and delete your account (which removes your profile and associated content, subject to routine backups and legal requirements). To exercise any right or request deletion, use the in-app controls or email info@valleyhomesva.com.
Depending on where you live (for example, Virginia or California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, and to confirm we don't sell it. We honor these requests for all users. We do not discriminate against you for exercising them.
6. Children
The App is for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided information, email info@valleyhomesva.com and we will delete it.
7. Cookies and local storage
We use only essential storage on your device to keep you signed in and make the App work (no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies). Because we don't use tracking cookies, there's no consent banner. Your browser may offer a "Do Not Track" signal; because we don't track you across other sites, there's nothing for us to change in response to it.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures (such as encryption in transit and access controls through our providers) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. To reduce risk, we minimize what we collect and don't retain a permanent location history.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll give notice in the App and update the "Effective date" and "Version" above. For significant changes to what we collect or how we use it, we'll ask you to agree again.
